जब भारत लेने पहुचा Su-37 Terminator | How india Got Su-30 MKI - Vnation111
Su-30MKI is specially developed for Indian Air Force and modified according to operational field of India. When India approached Sukhoi for a dedicated Air Dominance fighter, the first offer was for a modified Su-27 with twin seater configuration. However, India suggested some major significant airframe modifications (inspired from Su-37) leading to a different design than the standard Su-27. India was favouring the Su-37, that was a technology demonstrator equipped with canards and Thrust Vector Control system. However, Russia was not in mood to provide Su-37 technology, but ready to develop a customized twin seater Su-30 based on Su-37. Also, requested integration of equipments of different origin. Therefore, it was specifically named as Su-30MKI. Various third party companies were contacted in order to combine western technology with eastern technology and develop a pure hybrid fighter jet
