The US military is reportedly sending warplanes to the middle east with advanced bunker-busting bombs. US officials told Wall Street Journal that the 250-pound bombs will provide a greater chance of success in destroying ammunition bunkers. The American officials told WSJ that these bombs will be put on a squadron of A-10 Warthogs. The move marks the first time that the US military will put these precision-guided weapons on board the Warthogs. The A-10 Warthogs were recently refitted so that they could each carry up to 16 bunker busters, known formally as GBU-39/B bombs. In March, the US said that it is relocating its advanced combat aircraft from the Middle east to Europe and Asia.
