China's development plan of aircraft carrier will take national security needs and development situation of equipment and technology into consideration, said National Defense Ministry spokesman Tan Kefei at a press conference in Beijing on Thursday (June 30).

The remarks of China military came amid US-led military bloc NATO announcing its new Strategic Concept which mentioned China for the first time.
