The 1st Battalion Duke of Lancaster's Regiment will be sending 24 soldiers stationed in Cyprus to take part in the coronation of King Charles III.
As part of the infantry and being a Regional Standby Battalion on the British Overseas Territory, ceremonial duties are not their primary role, but these soldiers will travel to the UK for final rehearsals and to have the King's cypher added to their ceremonial uniforms before the main event.
