In the fall of 1939, Britain set up a special division of cryptanalysis, "Ultra," in Bletchley Park, which is linked to London by rail and main road.

At Bletchley Park, mathematicians, linguists, chess masters, military personnel, and many women who provided support gathered to decipher intercepted messages encrypted by German operators using electric cipher machines.

It is said that Bletchley Park's extensive cryptanalysis work, especially the deciphering of the U-boat Enigma, prevented an even greater loss of life and shortened the war in Europe by two to four years.

The video briefly summarizes the story of the Enigma codebreaking that contributed so much to the end of World War II.
