Spain will deliver the first military aircraft, the C-295, to the IAF in September. India had signed a deal with Airbus for 56 aircraft at a cost of ₹21,000 crore. In 2021. According to the 2021 contract, Airbus has to deliver 16 planes in flyaway condition within 48 months of signing the agreement with India. The remaining 40 aircraft will be made in India by the Tata-Airbus consortium.
