Moscow has begun massing troops in eastern Ukraine for what is expected to be a major offensive in the Donbas.

Fighting between Russian-speaking separatists and Ukrainian forces has raged there for the past eight years.

Analysts say the Kremlin is now focusing on seizing it as a way to claim some form of victory.
