Shadow Home Affairs Minister James Paterson has accused China of raising temperatures in the Pacific region after an “incredibly irresponsible” jet swoop near a United States reconnaissance aircraft.
Mr Paterson criticised China for demonstrating another instance of “unprofessional behaviour”.
“We’ve seen it both over the water and in the air,” Mr Paterson told Sky News Australia.
“We’ve seen it in relation to US assets, to Canadian assets and Australian assets where they’ve engaged in dangerous manoeuvres that could cause an accident and who knows where it would go from there.”
