Hundreds of passengers stranded aboard the Viking Orion cruise ship have been able to disembark after the vessel docked in Sydney Harbour today.

It was refused entry to several ports for days due to algae growth on its hull.

Viking has offered an apology and says it will work directly with guests to offer compensation.
