A special upload for my friend Larry Lawson over in Florida, who has a connection with this airfield

RAF Polebrook is located 3.5 miles south-east of Oundle in Northamptonshire. It was built on the Rothschild estate land in August 1940 for RAF Bomber Command. The first unit to operate from the airfield was No. 90 Squadron which began operations from June 1941 to February 1942.

From 12 December 1943 to 12 June 1945, Polebrook served as headquarters for the 94th Combat Bombardment Wing of the 1st Bombardment Division. It was designated USAAF Station 110.
