there are generally and frequently NATO meetings - even without current crises. The recent meetings are of course in the current context. Many aircraft movements pass over Ramstein.

Therefore, rare guests have been sighted here in recent weeks: The A-10C Thunderbold II made a stopover here.
The Fairchild Republic A-10 Thunderbolt II is a single-seat, twin-turbofan aircraft developed by Fairchild Republic for the United States Air Force (USAF).
The A-10 was designed to provide close air support (CAS) to friendly ground troops by attacking armored vehicles, tanks, and other enemy ground forces - it is the only production-built aircraft designed solely for CAS to have served with the U.S. Air Force.

AC-10 Warthog: Swift Response Exercise 2022
The A-10C Warthogs are currently deployed to Europe to take part in the Swift Response Exercise 2022. A-10C's from the 104th Fighter Squadron, which belongs to the Maryland Air National Guard, are currently deployed in Norway, Estonia and North Macedonia.
The Swift Response Exercise took place all across Northern and Eastern Europe. It is an annual multinational Training exercise for many Air Forces and Armies to test their capabilities and their operational readiness. This years exercise was held from 2-22 May.

The Strategic Airlift Capability is a multinational initiative aimed at providing participating nations with access to military strategic airlift. The ten NATO nations involved are Bulgaria, Estonia, Hungary, Lithuania, the Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Romania, Slovenia and the United States of America and the two Partnership-for-Peace (PfP) nations Finland and Sweden.
