After 54 years of service, the P-3 Orion is on the verge of being retired from service with the Royal Norwegian Air Force. On what was most likely the aircraft's last visit to southern Norway, the crew flying "SAINT31" made one final pass over the runway at Stord airport, enroute from the base at Andøya airport to Stavanger airport - Sola.
The aircraft serves with the 333 squadron, which is currently phasing out the Orions, to be replaced by P-8 Poseidons.
