Royal Marine Commandos have been training in the Arctic, with the set goal of becoming 'mountain ghosts', disappearing into the unforgiving environment.
Forces News joined the commandos in Norway as they prepared to take part in the Norwegeian-led Exercise Joint Viking – which involves thousands of military personnel from across Nato.
Major Matt Snook, Officer Commanding, Yankee Company, 45 Commando Royal Marines, said the personnel are "trying to disappear" in the Arctic landscape as they deal with two foes – the "actual enemy" and the harsh terrain.
