A short 1'13" reel of F35 jets of 332 Squadron Royal Norwegian Air Force (Luftforsvaret) providing NATO Air Policing out of Iceland's Keflavik Air Base earlier this year.

For a BBC radio piece by David Baillie on the background to this reel and NATO Air Policing in Iceland go to "From Our Own Correspondent" https://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/m001l8t4 [start at 17 minutes]

This material was filmed as part of an ongoing film project by Wildcat Films, documenting the impact of climate change on security and militarisation in the Arctic.

Although Iceland was a founder member of NATO, it has never had its own armed forces. Yet it plays a strategic role in the security of the North Atlantic and the Arctic so originally the USA provided a permanent air policing mission over the region

In 2006, the United States ended this mission and was replaced by a NATO system whereby Allies periodically deploy fighter aircraft to Keflavík Air Base to provide protection of Icelandic airspace.

The NATO Air Policing mission is carried out using the NATO Integrated Air and Missile Defence System (NATINAMDS). The Supreme Allied Commander Europe (SACEUR) has the overall responsibility for the conduct of the mission.
