Rescuers and members of Russia’s National Guard continued to work at the scene of a deadly twin-engine plane crash in Menzelinsk on Sunday.
The plane, known to be a Let L-410 Turbolet, crashed early on Sunday, claiming at least 16 lives to-date, with a further six occupants being hospitalised in a critical condition.
According to Russia's Ministry of Emergencies, the plane crashed with 22 people on board, 20 of which were parachute divers.
A Mi-8 helicopter rescue helicopter was dispatched to the scene in an initial emergency response, with more than 50 rescuers and 17 units of equipment involved on the scene later in the day.
Russian authorities have launched a probe into the crash, with L-410 plane flights suspended until the end of the proceedings.
