Hello Friends, Welcome back to the channel Bikemybuddy and it's me Sagar Lama, What'sup, kaise ho, kasta chau and namaskara to all.
Who won’t like to watch early morning sunrise, and for that we decided to go the best sunrise destination near Bangalore, Skandagiri Hills. I had been here last year but since I did not buy a ticket I could not enter the hills. Skandgiri is a beautiful hill about 70km from Bangalore, which is famous for trekking and sightseeing and is also known as Kalavara Durga.
Morning we woke up at 3am and quickly got ready, had tea at home and start ride to Skandagiri Hills. I am accompanied with my sister Punam and friend Santosh. We reached Skandagiri at 5:30am and started trekking to the hill top. I must say, this trekking had tested the physical and mental strength, the trail is moderate to difficult. Due to it's long distance of 4-5 km each side and trek consist of rocks, mud, uneven and sharp steep trails makes it difficult. After reaching hilltop, we experienced the high wind, it was sunrise already but cold and one can view Nandi Hills from there. This is one of the toughest trek near Bangalore with an altitude of 4500 feet height and 9km walk. It is known that Skandgiri was once home to a majestic fort built by Tipu Sultan, who was the ruler of the kingdom of Mysore in the 18th century. When the battle between his kingdom and the Britisher’s was lost, the fort was left alone.
