Surprising pro-Ukrainian moves of Ukraine’s president Zelensky. Wagner case can be the reason.

In February 2021, Ukraine’s president Zelensky made several pro-Ukrainian moves, which surprised everyone – from Ukrainian patriots to pro-Russia collaborationists. On February 2, Zelensky blocked 3 pro-Russia TV channels “112”, “ZIK” and “News One” of the oligarch Viktor Medvedchuk, who is an ally of the Russian President Putin and the chairman of the party of Russian collaborationists in the Ukrainian Parliament.

Medvedchuk frequently flies to Moscow to visit Putin “for consultations”, while Ukrainian soldiers are dying from Russian bullets in the east. Putin is actually the godfather of Medvedchuk's daughter Daryna.

In addition to blocking TV channels, Zelensky later imposed sanctions on Medvedchuk’s property and business.
