On 6 May, at the Coronation of King Charles III, the first sword bearing the King's cypher to come out of Crown Swords' workshop will be carried by the Navy's State Ceremonial Warrant Officer.
Forces News went behind the scenes to discover how the ceremonial blade was made and meet Malcolm Orderver, known to many in the industry as the Godfather of the Sword.
It's fair to say that what Malcolm doesn't know about swords probably isn't worth knowing.
