As the first anniversary of the conflict between Russia and Ukraine approaches, Forces News has taken a look at the timeline of the key events over the last year.

The UK is pledging to send more military aid but the war continues to claim thousands of lives, has made millions of people refugees and reduced entire cities to rubble.

Friday will mark a year since Russia invaded Ukraine, with Ukrainian defence minister Oleksii Reznikov saying they expect a major Russian offensive to mark the milestone.
