C-130 Hercules tribute. The C130 Hercules is the world's most successful military transport aircraft. First flown in 1954, it has seen service as a troop carrier, gunship, search and rescue (SAR), medevac, weather recon, refueling, firefighting, coast guard and scientific research, as well as for decades being the main tactical transport for many airforces worldwide. Know for its ability to perform short landings and take-offs on unprepared airstrips, the C-130 is particulary successful in aid-drops, emergencies and quick response.
