An Indian Air Force Mig25 Foxbat was flying on a reconnaissance mission over Pakistan, taking photos of Pakistani defense sites. As it was returning to India, the pilot intentionally created a sonic boom blast, startling the people on the ground in Pakistan. Pakistani authorities immediately sent F16 fighters to shoot down the Mig25, but it was flying at an altitude of 60,000 feet and at a speed exceeding Mach 3, so the Pakistani fighters were unable to catch up with it
