If you think shooting down a plane is hard, imagine shooting down a satellite. That's what an F-15 Eagle did in 1985, using a special missile designed to destroy orbiting objects. This was the first and only time a fighter jet successfully intercepted a satellite, and it was a remarkable feat of military engineering.
