Why doesn't Germany have aircraft carriers? The answer consists of two words, geography, and history. Germany focuses less emphasis on naval might because it has a smaller coastline than Spain and Italy. Furthermore, land-based aircraft already cover a large portion of their maritime interests. They have multiple air bases near the coast that will enable the Luftwaffe to effectively cover German sea territory.
