It was February 27th 1881 when the then Prince Wilhelm of Prussia married Princess Augusta Victoria of Schleswig-Holstein. They would go on to become the last Imperial couple Germany has ever known. At the end of the first World War in november 1918, Wilhelm II, who had been on the German and Prussian throne for the last 30 years was forced to abdicate. Wilhelm and Augusta lived out the remainder of their lives in Exile in the Netherlands. Augusta dying in 1921 and Wilhelm 20 years later.
The last Imperial couple had a total of seven children. While I already covered all of their children in three separate videos, this video today will be a continuation on that topic as we look into the lives of Wilhelm and Augusta’s grandchildren and perhaps even great grandchildren.
