The Bio-Flex Pre-Apprenticeship virtual graduation honored 23 graduates on June 02, 2021.

Present were supporting teachers and counselors, workshop guest presenters, host employers (Sakura Finetek USA and Pathways to Stem Cell Science in Torrance; and Oak Crest Institute of Science in collaboration with Citrus College), funding and stakeholder partners.

Students came from 5 high schools:
Lawndale, City Honors-Inglewood, North High-Torrance, STEM Academy of Hollywood and Verbum Dei- LA. Our interns at Sakura and Pathways are students at UCLA and CSULB, respectively.

Special shout out to our Keynote Speaker, Timshel Tarbet, SCAN Health Plan's VP of Business Excellence and Diversity Strategies along with Dave Whelan of BioscienceL.A. who brought Timshel to our attention.
