Ambassador K P Fabian served in the Indian Foreign Service from 1964 to 2000. He was Ambassador of India to Finland, Qatar, and Italy. Post-retirement, Ambassador Fabian has been active with NGOs, corporate bodies, and academia. He is currently a Professor at Symbiosis University, and the Indian Society of International Law. He is on the guest faculty of Geneva School of Diplomacy and International Relations.

He has published the following books: Commonsense on War on Iraq and Diplomacy: Indian Style. His latest book The Arab Spring That Was and Wasn't is due shortly.
