GIDLEs Yuqi on I'm a Survivor Ep 2, the car escape! It's not just the YUQI cut because I feel like context is important and also she doesn't show up much in this episode rip.
What do you guys think about the thumbnail? Should I do that more/less/does it not matter?
As promised, here is the video transcript of Trainer Eunha's video. I paraphrased a lot because honestly it wasn't that much important information.
"Is the show just an imitation of "Fake man"? (A military training show in Korea which has now been discontinued). "Is this just a female version of "Fake man?" There are a lot of comments like this. First of all, "Fake Man" did so well, so thank you for saying that this is a female version of that. But what I really want to say is that it is definitely not an imitation. It's a show that has a completely different concept. The difference is that "I'm a Survivor" is for teaching and training survival for regular people (whereas fake man is training for military specific situations). Because we have to strengthen our mentalities to prepare for a disaster and increase our basic strength, it's different from military training. Right now because we're in the Coronavirus situation, the Korean people are very interested in how to survive/survival tactics. It was very tiring to film. There are a lot of different parts with different situations and environments. There's also how to deal with a situation where there is really no resources around you. I am now teaching all the members [listed the members] these skills. It was a bit of a difficult journey during the training because we didn't know much about survival, but through this four day training I was very proud of how they really absorbed what I taught them. I think now they could go on a deserted island and survive well.
When I first met those celebs, there were so many dramatic and amazing scenes...The images of our celebrities going through the training very eagerly and ambitiously also shows through.
Even though this is entertainment, our celebrities really worked hard on actually trying to survive during the filming."
Some people have said they're worried about Yuqi filming these kinds of shows, but honestly, if Yuqi is anything like I think she is (because I'm similar to her in this aspect), she really likes to challenge herself with this kind of stuff, and prove to herself and others that she can do literally anything she puts her mind to, which she can. They take of her well in the show and I think there's nothing to worry about, in terms of how tough the training is. Her worries/tears stem more from missing home than anything else, which isn't really the fault of the show she's on.
