As August is traditionally the month of summer fun and vacation for a large number of Americans, teacher Liz Ndoye will show and discuss artists who celebrate their love of summer fun, play and adventure, and the great out of doors.

Gustave Caillebotte was a French painter who was a member and patron of the Impressionists, although he painted in a more realistic manner than many others in the group. Caillebotte was noted for his early interest in photography as an art form. We will continue to explore the beauty of light in the summer landscape and work from images from magazines and photographs. Terminology like foreground and background, perspective and form will be explored. Skills to express these terms will be learned. Water color landscapes will be created as the finished project.
