Hong Kong police arrested nine people on July 5, 2021, over an alleged terrorist plot to bomb streets, courts and transport networks. Among the group are secondary school students as well as a member of management at a local university and a secondary school employee. Police said the pro-independence group known as “Returning Valiant” focused on recruiting secondary school students who were already thinking of leaving the city for good.
