Have you ever wondered if you could stop a lava flow by bombing a volcano? Yes, it's been tried. Nowadays, that's a question that the people of Reykjavik, Iceland, are probably asking themselves. About 86 years ago, in December 1935, the US Army Air Corps was called to do the job.
