For one glorious weekend over the 20th-22nd November 1992, over 230,000 New Zealanders gathered at Auckland International Airport for AIR EXPO 92. Support us by becoming a Subscriber at http://www.historicalmachines.tv/pages/fuel-to-noise

It was New Zealand's greatest airshow ever, and only the second such event to be held at the airport, the first having been held in January 1966 when the airpot first opened.

An unusual aspect of the show was that the airport continued to operate its regular services -- so the air displays were scheduled around the commercial arrivals and departures.

The show featured some of the world's leading military and civilian aircraft, side-by-side with vintage planes now found only in New Zealand.

The special on-board cameras give you a unique pilot's eye view from the R.A.F. Harrier Jump Jet, an American Microjet, and the Russian Beriev A40 Albatross Amphibian - an aircraft rarely seen in Western waters.

You can also relive the excitement of the Vampire jet, the majestic 'Warbirds') (Sea Fury, Avenger, P-51 Mustang, and more), the 'Roaring Forties', various stunt flyers, a demonstration of the Aermaachi MB-339 of the Royal New Zealand Air Force, and air-to-air re-fuelling manoeuvre, simulated dogfights, the RNZAF 'Red Checkers' aerobatic team, and much more.
