Fitness, tactical awareness, courage and interpersonal skills are vital qualities demanded of leaders.

These qualities were developed in Gurkhas from 1st Battalion The Royal Gurkha Rifles during their JNCO leadership cadre. The six-week course took place at 1RGR's barracks in Kent, as well as the Brecon and Caerwent training areas, prior to the fire break in Wales.
