In this episode, we chat with Andrew Herrington & Matt Jernigan of BUSAR Search & Rescue (SAR). We discuss types of missions, training, physical & mental toughness, and the extraordinary commitment it takes to become a SAR operator in service to others.


BUSAR is an all Hazards Back Country Search & Rescue team operating within the Great Smoky Mountain NP and NP system supporting the Park’s SAR teams and mission.
