Gabe and Izzy are back in the studio and joined by Drew Rhoads for Episode 24 of The Coast Boys Podcast. Drew grew up in Fort Bragg and later went on to study at Butte College and Humboldt University. He now serves as a Fire Captain, Crew Chief, Air Attack Officer, Helicopter Coordinator, Military Helicopter Manager, and Fire/Medical/Rescue Instructor in the Mendocino Unit for CAL FIRE. In this episode, he talks about the recent California wildfires, how he joined CAL FIRE, the Pros and Cons, and what it’s like to be part of the Helitack crew.
