In 1898, at “the tomb of Pa-di-Imen” in Egypt, archaeologists found a small model of a bird on a table laid out with grave goods. The Saqqara Bird, as it came to be known, looks like a model airplane, but the ancient Egyptians didn't have airplanes – or did they?
