In particular, the Ukrainian servicemen used a Ukrainian 2S22 Bohdana 155-mm wheeled self-propelled howitzer to strike on the Russian-occupied Zmiyinyi Island in the Black Sea.
This became known from the released video of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Valeriy Zaluzhnyi, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, mentioned that the invaders had left snake Island, unable to withstand the fire of Ukrainian artillery, missile, and air strikes.
General Zaluzhnyi also thanked the developers and manufacturers of the Ukrainian Bohdana self-propelled howitzer, as well as foreign partners that are helping Ukraine.
Ukrainian artillery fire was corrected with a Bayraktar TB2 multi-purpose drone. One of the fragments of the video recorded the defeat of the Russian Pantsir-S1 surface-to-air missile and anti-aircraft artillery system.
In early May, it was reported that the Ukrainian 2S22 Bohdana 155-mm wheeled self-propelled howitzer was deployed to destroy the enemies. The Ukrainian self-propelled howitzer was being used to destroy the military equipment, positions, and personnel of the Russian occupation forces.
